For over 15 years, Andrew has created products and collected diverse experiences to improve the health and wellness of people β from the petri dish to the metaverse.
Prior to Aster, he focused on helping people build meaningful connections and healthy habits with wearable and AR/VR tech at Meta Reality Labs, and shipped products at scale for 3+ billion people. As a self-taught designer and front-end developer, heβs been the founding designer for several digital health startups ranging from pre-seed to Series C, building enterprise and consumer products for serious mental illnesses (Mindstrong) and portable ultrasound technologies (Vave Health). Heβs also a published biomedical researcher and medical illustrator.
Since immigrating from Vietnam as a teenager, Andrew has an appreciation for people from all walks of life, and champions the value of empathy in solving problems for those in need β particularly the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ populations.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from UCLA, and a Master of Science in Biomedical Communications from University of Toronto.
